Salvation Taco, (www.salvationtaco.com), set in New York City’s trendy Pod 39 Hotel at 145 East 39th Street, is the latest restaurant entry from Chef April Bloomfield of The Spotted Pig, The Breslin and The John Dory Oyster Bar; her business partner Ken Friedman; and collaborating Chef Roberto Santibañez of Fonda. The building formerly housed the Salvation Army—hence the name Salvation Taco!
According to Zagat, “…the festive, moderately priced haunt is churning out offerings that you wouldn't find at a standard taqueria. Bloomfield and her collaborating chef Roberto Santibañez reached beyond traditional Mexican ingredients to concoct their menu.”
